Seasonal Creativity for Wellbeing
The Creative Nook offers a gentle, seasonal approach to creative workshops designed to help you slow down and reconnect through mindful making. Each creative practice unfolds across guided sessions, allowing projects to develop gradually over time rather than in a single sitting. Sessions are calm, beginner-friendly and limited to small groups for a supportive experience.
How the Seasonal Projects Work
Each creative practice runs as a seasonal project : Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. You’re welcome to attend individual sessions, but booking the full season offers a more immersive, step-by-step experience.
This seasonal structure is designed to build confidence, nurture skill development, and encourage mindful creative flow.

Slow Stitching
A slow, absorbing project unfolding across three monthly workshops this spring — a stitched notebook cover worked in layered textiles, simple hand stitches, and considered colour combinations. Each session builds gently on the last, with time to settle into the making and develop your piece at your own pace.
Each workshop also stands alone. If you can only join once, you'll leave with the foundations and confidence to continue stitching at home.
Suitable for beginners and returning stitchers.

Creative Journaling
A multi-sensory practice combining paper, nature, and reflection. Across three monthly workshops this spring, you'll explore collage, simple mark-making, and gentle mixed-media techniques to build layered, personal journal pages, with thoughtful attention to colour and the quiet pleasure of making marks by hand.
Journaling in this way is both calming and healing, a slow creative ritual that asks nothing of you except presence. Each workshop stands alone, and everything you learn can be carried into a practice at home.
Suitable for beginners and those returning to creative practice.

Memory Keepsake
Memory Keepsakes is another seasonal project using simple materials and the art of noticing. Across the year, we'll create small, meaningful pieces designed to hold special memories and mark the passing of time. In spring, we begin with memory cards; personal, layered and lovely gathered into a decorated tin, that we'll create together.
They make beautiful keepsakes; something to keep close, or to give to someone who matters.
Suitable for beginners and returning makers.
All workshops are small, welcoming, and intentionally paced, with materials provided and gentle guidance throughout
